EVOLVE is Ethos’ dedicated graduate programme, designed to give you the strongest possible start to your career. Across eighteen months, you will build technical skills, grow your confidence, and take part in projects that shape the built environment. From the beginning, you are trusted with meaningful work and supported by people who drive you to succeed.
The EVOLVE Journey
All graduates begin in the Engineering Studio, a collaborative environment where you rotate across teams and disciplines. This approach gives you broad exposure to how projects are delivered while helping you identify the areas that suit your strengths. From the outset, you are supported by a Buddy who provides guidance and encouragement, ensuring you settle in and thrive with confidence.
Over the course of eighteen months, the EVOLVE Graduate Programme blends structured learning with real project experience. You will work on high-value projects, develop technical and professional skills, and take part in leadership modules that prepare you for future responsibility. Alongside this, one-to-one career coaching provides clear guidance towards chartership and long-term progression.
It is a programme that balances challenge with support, giving you both the experience and the confidence to grow.
Mastering the essentials
The programme is shaped around structured modules that strengthen your technical expertise and your professional development. Learning is applied directly through live client work, where you are supported by mentors and colleagues who help you navigate new challenges. The experience is enriched through workshops and one-to-one guidance, connecting you with people across the business. Ethos’ culture of collaboration and continuous learning ensures you develop steadily while building the skills needed for long-term success.

A permanent place at Ethos
Graduates join Ethos in a full-time permanent role from day one. The programme is designed to accelerate your development, providing additional support in your first 18 months so you can achieve more in less time. With Ethos beside you, you are empowered to shape a successful and rewarding career.

As someone who didn’t have a background in building services, I was apprehensive about the knowledge gap compared to other graduates. This was never an issue due to the exceptional guidance and one-to-one mentorship I received from day one. Ethos also promotes great social interaction through regular events, from paintballing to cocktail-making, which have helped me build stronger relationships across the organisation.
